Museum of Craft & Design
The Museum of Craft and Design (MCD) is San Francisco’s only museum devoted exclusively to modern and contemporary craft and design. Founded in 2004, MCD showcases designers, makers and artists through an exciting and distinctive series of craft and design-focused exhibitions and public programs. As a non-collecting institution, the museum actively collaborates with artists, designers, museums and universities, as well as design venues and practitioners to create inspirational experiences in the world of craft and design for visitors of all ages.

PARKING
MCD is thrilled to be part of the thriving Dogpatch community. The growth of business and residents continues and we love meeting new neighbors. Part of this growth means parking can be a challenge for our visitors, but the SFMTA is working with everyone to help it improve parking. In the meantime, we recommend giving yourself some extra time to find parking or take public transportation to see us. The T Third Muni Metro and the 48 bus stop are within one block of the Museum and the 22nd Caltrain stop is a short walk from us too! There is also a paid lot on 20th Street and Illinois Street.
